Centuries before Galileo observed the moons of Jupiter, scientists in the Middle East were building the first cameras, developing the physics of light, and taking some of the first steps toward understanding the nature of the Universe.

Explore the remarkable astronomical ideas and discoveries of the Islamic Golden Age and its impact on modern astronomy in this series of special planetarium shows presented live by a U of T astronomer.

100% of the proceeds from ticket sales for Planetarium Shows in Aid of Syrian Refugees is being donated to Red Cross Canada to help provide aid to Syrian refugees.

Planetarium Shows in Aid of Syrian Refugees is inspired by the idea that all of humanity is #UnitedByTheStars. The shows are an initiative of the U of T Graduate Astronomy Students Association, supported by the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics and the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics, University of Toronto.
