1960’s Italian bombshell Claudia Cardinale (“8 1/2”) was actually born in Tunisia and didn’t speak Italian (she spoke French) for her first dozen movies – her voice was always dubbed! But she was so gorgeous, nobody cared! They called her “Italy’s Sweetheart.” Eventually she came to Hollywood and made movies like “The Pink Panther,” but she felt more comfortable in Europe and moved back. Claudia has always been an activist for women’s rights. She’s 79 now, but happily surprised that she’s STILL working- in fact she did 3 films and appeared on a mini-series this year. In 2011, The LA Times named her one of the fifty most beautiful women in film history.
