The much controversial life of Sanjay Dutt took a major twist when the court sentenced the superstar for almost a three year imprisonment. Away from his career and family, although the actor was lent certain privileges for his good behavior but his absence from the household had raised many questions in the innocent minds of his twins – Iqra and Shahraan.

Sanjay Dutt is currently in the midst of promoting his comeback film Bhoomi and whilst giving an interview recently, revealed about how his wife Maanayata dealt with questions asked by his children. As he reminisced about the sorrowful days his family underwent when he was locked up in Yerawada Jail, the actor mentioned that his wife had told his children that he was out of town shooting for his film.

However, appreciating his kids’ smart and sharp minds, Sanjay Dutt also mentioned about how his kids would counter questioned their mother by asking her to call him but she would further lie saying that he was shooting amidst mountains where there is no network. The actor however expressed his relief stating that he was allowed to call home from jail every fortnight when he used to speak them.

Sanjay Dutt, who returned after serving his sentence last year, is making a comeback with Omung Kumar’s Bhoomi, a revenge drama of a father who is ready to go any lengths to get justice for his daughter played by Aditi Rao Hydari who is a rape survivor. Besides this, the actor will be a part of films like Torbaaz and Karan Johar’s Shiddat.
