USA: Free $30 Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Katrina Kaif may be headed for Chicago to shoot for Dhoom 3 in a week from now but closer home, Kareena Kapoor has brought Chicago to town. For her next release Heroine, she recently shot for a promotional music video which is on the same lines as Renée Zellweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones musical Chicago.

Informs an insider who has had a dekko at the song, "Kareena is clearly inspired by the western musical here. The costumes, props, set pieces, lighting and the swaying dance moves, just about everything in the choreography of this song is on the same lines as that of Chicago."

Released a decade ago, the Richard Gere starrer musical didn't actually bear the same storyline as Heroine. However, director Madhur Bhandarkar couldn't really get the visuals off his mind and when the moment came to create a title track for Heroine, he didn't hesitate one bit on looking westwards for the inspiration.

"The song is titled 'Heroine Hoon Main' and Kareena has never looked more stunning than this. In fact, this is the most uninhibited Kareena that one has seen on the big screen. Expect audience fantasies to go wild as the song is in an altogether unexplored and different zone. While 'Halkat Jawaani' was massy, 'Heroine Hoon Main' is classy", the insider continues.

When contacted, Madhur didn't deny getting inspired from the West. "Films like Chicago or for that matter Moulin Rouge are textbooks when it comes to Western musicals. I wanted to lend a distinct touch to 'Heroine Hoon Main' which would arrive with the credit rolls. After 'Halkat Jawaani', we have created an altogether different world for Kareena", he says.

Hope she has liked it.
