Madhavan is one of the very few people in Bollywood, who has never been a part of any kind of controversy. That's why, when the news about Madhavan being issued a legal notice by the Madras High Court came out, it definitely came as a shock.

Madhavan, who was last seen in the boxing flick Saala Khadoos, has been issued a legal notice by the Madras High Court, after a certain person had petitioned against him to the court alleging that Madhavan had encroached on a water channel of the land next to his place in the town of Dindigul (Tamil Nadu). The whole controversy erupted after Madhavan built an electric fence surrounding the entire 5 acres of his land, in which the water channel also fell and consequently destroying it. If that wasn't enough, the said petitioner had also alleged that Madhavan had even encroached on the government land to plant coconut and guava trees. It was only after hearing these allegations, did the Madras High Court decide to issue a notice to Madhavan.
