The Land and Resources Cluster program provides leadership and program delivery in the development and application of information management and information technology for client ministries, specifically, Natural Resources, Aboriginal Affairs, Environment, Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Northern Development and Mines. It is responsible for ensuring the delivery of an integrated Information Technology infrastructure to facilitate and streamline government operations through electronic service delivery and enhance government service through e-business and e-government.
You will: act as a key member of the Business Solution Services development and maintenance team; work closely with the development team to translate business requirements into system solutions; utilize your Java and other skills to maintain, enhance and develop various Java applications; plan, coordinate and provide estimates on development efforts and related tasks in order to meet project deliverables.
Qualifications:proven experience in developing Java based IT systems in government or other large organizations; demonstrated knowledge and experience in Java; proven knowledge of systems-development methodologies, stages of systems-development; proven communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated time management, organizational, and planning skills; proven experience providing leadership in team settings; demonstrated ability to work independently or as a team member.
