The 32 year old female cyclist involved in a collision at the intersection of E.12th Avenue and Windsor Street on the morning of March 27th has passed away.

Shortly before 7:30 a.m. that date, police and emergency services responded to a call of a collision between a car and a cyclist. It appears that the collision occurred as a result of the cyclist, who was travelling northbound on Windsor, entered E.12th Avenue and was struck by an eastbound car.

The cyclist was rushed to hospital where she remained until passing away from her injuries late on Saturday night.

The driver of the car was uninjured. Neither alcohol nor speed is considered a factor in the collision.

The intersection has a pedestrian/cyclist-controlled crossing light to control east/west traffic on E.12th Avenue and it is currently unknown what phase the light was on.
