Reactions to the establishment of the new States continue to filter in from across the country.

In newly created Eastern Lakes State, Yirol West Youth Association congregated President Salva Kiir Mayardit for the creation of new State to Great Yirol Counties.

The President created Eastern Lakes State that would comprise of Yirol East, Yirol West and Awerial with their State capital as Yirol.

Macuei Makoi Majok, chairman of Yirol West Youth Association in his message extended to the media said that the community is very happy with the establishment of the new State.

He noted that services and development would be the focus of the administration and internal clashes will reduce due to the presence of police personnel.

Makoi said in his letter that “We the youth of Greater Yirol and Yirol West in particular realized and witnessed the value of your positive contributions towards development and modeling the whole South Sudan into one solid body, although the enemies of peace and development always blackmail and deny your tangible struggles and services.”

Makoi added that “we wish to express our bubbling happiness in our hearts due to the recent development of making Greater Yirol an independent State from Rumbek. This enclave idea was warmly welcomed with open arms by the entire community and that you have left them
in real happiness throughout their lives, ‘maburuk alek’ for the job well done your Excellency.”
Meanwhile, the community of Ayat of Aweil West County in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State has also welcomed their newly formed State, Lol.

In a press statement issued to the media outlets on Tuesday evening, Greater Ayat members in the State Legislative Assembly on behalf of their communities applauded the move taken by the President in forming the new Counties especially adding Aweil West and North Counties to Raja County of Western Bahr el Ghazal State to form one Lol State.

“On behalf of greater Ayat community and on our own behalf, we intellectuals, assembly legislators and youth of greater Ayat community of Aweil west County of Lol State would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to the President of the republic of South Sudan H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit for his wise decision in creating Lol State.” That was a message delivered by Hon. Deng Nguac on behalf of his community in response to the recently formed States.

Nguac further expressed that the decision is welcomed by the community for several positive reasons behind this idea of newly formed States.

“This idea will promote inter-marriages, cultural diversity, zero tolerance to tribalism, fast development, less corruption, services delivery to the communities, ease in making accountabilities to the leaders because of short distances from location to another.”  Nguac said.

Meanwhile another Youth Activist who hails from Aweil North County now becomes part of Lol State, Mayuol Diing Mayuol said the move has been welcomed and received with open arms from Aweil North communities to be part of Lol State.

“Based on the thoughts and ideas, we the youth from greater Malual buoth-anyaar of Aweil North County have jointly welcomed this decision that puts the three counties under Lol State. We believe this will create ethnic diversity which promotes peace, unity and democratic leadership.” He said.
