There is an addition of 20 more travel agencies who are pulling out of the upcoming National Association of Travel Agents Singapore (NATAS) fair. The 24 agencies said that the decision to pull out was not an easy one but it was “worthy in pursuit of a right cause”.

The 24 agencies have formed a strategic partnership and working committee to organize a travel fair on Mar 27 to 29 – the same dates that NATAS will be holding its fair. The agencies said their new fair will have lower booth costs for exhibitors, with savings of up to 30 per cent, and its central location and free admission would mean more benefits for consumers according to Channel News Asia.

The 24 agencies boycotting NATAS fair also include the ‘Big Four’ which are the Chan Brothers Travel, CTC Travel, Dynasty Travel and SA Tours. Other major agencies joining the group include Nam Ho Travel, Farmosa Holidays, MISA Travel, Apple Holidays and New Shan Travel. The new fair is scheduled to be held at the Marina Bay Sands, Level B2 at Exhibition Halls D, E and F, and will span 17,000 sqm, about 70 per cent the size of the NATAS fair.
