An arrest has been made in the 2011 Fail to Remain collision that claimed the life of a gas station attendant.

On Thursday, May 19, 2011, at 4:54 pm, the accused pumped a quantity of gasoline at the Petro Canada gas station located at Southdown Road and Truscott Drive in Mississauga.  The accused, who was driving a beige Nissan Altima, attempted to flee the gas station without paying.  The lone attendant, Mr. Hashem Atifeh Rad chased after the vehicle and caught up with it as it was leaving the gas station lot.  There was contact between Mr. Atifeh Rad and the accused’s vehicle, resulting in serious injuries to the victim.  Mr. Atifeh Rad succumbed to his injuries on May 20, 2011.
