Phunny Nations Presents Comics Unleashed Featuring comedians Rasul Somji, Ron Josal, Dred Lee and Ron Josal
 
Markham, Ontario – Canadian comedians renowned across the globe are coming together to help the Canadian Cancer Society in an exciting comedy fundraiser. Phunny Nations President Rasul Somji, known as Canada’s funniest Muslim comic, has produced numerous sold out shows in the past that have featured stars such as Russell Peters and Gemini winner Mista Mo from the The Comedy Network.
 
Comics Unleashed is comprised of internationally renowned comedians who are dedicating their time to help the Canadian Cancer Society. The show’s headliner Ron Josal has performed at the infamous Laugh Factory in Hollywood, California and won the Craven A’s “Funniest Home Grown Competition” for the Just For Laughs comedy festival. He has also written/performed on the Gemini award winning show, The Buzz. Ron currently writes/performs on the hit MuchMusic show Video On Trial.
 
After co-producing sold out events such as “We Ain’t Terrorists” Phunny Nations and stay in school brings you Comics Unleashed.
 
Comics Unleased also features Marc Trinidad who has opened shows for international acts such as Dough & Fresh and Tommy Davidson (of In Living Color fame). He has also been featured on Canada’s acclaimed After Hours With Kenny Robinson show. Marc also made history as the first Canadian Comedian to appear on BET’s hit ComicView series.
 
“The Purpose of the show is to bring Canada’s funniest comedians from all nations to laugh and forget our differences, while helping people whose lives have been affected by cancer,” says Phunny Nations President Rasul Somji.
 
Rasul Somji has been active on the local and international comedy scene for over 11 years, performing alongside great talent such as Russell Peters, Howie Mandel, and Preacher Moss.
 
When: August 20th @ 9 PM cost $15
