On Thursday August 23 2012, USA women’s is taking on China in Women U-20 World Championship Group Stage at Hiroshima Big Arch Stadium in Hiroshima, Japan. The USA is looming off a 4-0 win against Ghana on Aug. 20, making a split of first place with Germany on the top of Group D.

US Team Probable line-up for match includes: Jami Kranich, Crystal Dunn (capt.), Kassey Kallman, Julie Johnston, Stephanie Amack, Sarah Killion, Mandy Laddish, Samantha Mewis, Chioma Ubogagu, Katie Stengel, Lindsey Horan

The Chinese line up likely to play include:  Yang Yan; Yu Haiyan, Lin Yuping, Huang Yini, Wang YingYing; Zhang Xin , Song Sicheng, Liu Shanshan, 7-Wang Shuang, Yao Shuangyan, Yang Lina.

The U.S. and China previously have faced each other two times during the U-20 Women’s World Cup competition, with China earning a 2-0 win in Group B play in the 2008 event and winning a 5-4 shootout in the semifinals of the 2006 tournament.

However, earlier this year the USA and China met for back-to-back international friendly matches in Carson, Calif. The U.S. had a 4-1 victory on April 12, followed by a 3-0 lock out win on April 15. According to recent performances USA team is looking favorite to win this match.
