Pakistan and Australia will take on each other on Friday in Abu Dhabi for the second ODI of the three-match series. Both the teams are preparing well to win this match.
Though Australia won the first ODI in Sharjah by four wickets, their performance was far from convincing. Australian skipper, Michael Clarke hopes his batsmen will continue to show improvement against Pakistan’s spinners in their upcoming clash.
Australia negotiated the high-profile Pakistan spin trio of Saeed Ajmal, Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Hafeez to the best effect to win the first one-day in Sharjah and taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. And Clarke, 31, hopes his batsmen show improvement with each game. The Australian probable line up will include: 1 David Warner, 2 Matthew Wade (wk), 3 Michael Clarke (capt), 4 Michael Hussey, 5 David Hussey, 6 George Bailey, 7 Glenn Maxwell, 8 Daniel Christian, 9 Xavier Doherty, 10 Mitchell Starc, 11 James Pattinson.
In the meantime, Pakistan will look to bring improvement to their batting, after being bowled out in 45.1 overs with left-arm seamer Mitchell Starc taking a career best 5-42. Captain Misbah-ul Haq was disappointed over his side’s batting failure, despite packing the XI with seven batsmen.
Pakistan’s batting lacks consistency and except for Asad Shafiq and Umar Akmal, all batsmen remain unable to score big runs. Mohammad Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed at the opening need to concentrate on getting decent start to lower the pressure on the other team members. The Pakistan squad to play will include: 1 Mohammad Hafeez, 2 Nasir Jamshed, 3 Shoaib Malik, 4 Umar Akmal, 5 Asad Shafiq, 6 Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), 7 Kamran Akmal (wk), 8 Shahid Afridi, 9 Sohail Tanveer, 10 Saeed Ajmal, 11 Aizaz Cheema.
