A reception hosted by the Joint Committee for the Commemoration of the 95th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide is being held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 14th, 2010 in Room 200 of the West Block, Parliament Building in Ottawa.

On this occasion, Armenians everywhere will mourn their martyrs, celebrate their rebirth, and renew their commitment to stand for truth and justice for all the victims of genocides in the world.

All of the Armenian organizations operating in Canada have united under the auspices of the three religious denominations to jointly organize events across Canada that will commemorate this milestone anniversary.

Invitations have been sent to all parliamentarians, members of the diplomatic corps and dignitaries.

Rabbi Dr. Steven Leonard Jacobs, Aaron Aronov Endowed Chair of Judaic Studies at the University of Alabama and a long time member of the International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS) will be the guest speaker.
