Captain Mathew Ochan Jacob appealed to the State Deputy Governor Jerome Gama Surur and Acting Police Commissioner of Eastern Equatoria Abdallah Kiri Suleman to consider improving their on advanced computer training.

He was speaking during the graduation in basic level II computer knowledge skills training sponsored by International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) in Torit.

He said advanced computer skills will enable them to effectively deliver services to the people of Eastern Equatoria State.

“Your Excellency, we know with you being considerate leader we believe you will consider our humble request so that we are able to deliver more effectively in areas of computing, crime detection and many others,” he said during the end of the training in Torit.

About eight police officers graduated after undergoing a four-week intensive training on professional development in a ceremony presided over by Eastern Equatoria State Deputy Governor Jerome Gama Surur.

The Deputy Governor described the training as a ‘valuable gift’ to the people of South Sudan saying American people have been so generous striving to help the world’s newest nation.

He said that the police will now be able to fulfil their duties effectively in regard to law and order enforcement.

The training included, Introduction to Information Led Policing and Intelligence Cycle, Crime Pattern Analysis, Product of Intelligence Analysis and Advanced Report Writing.
