Thousands of different communities living in the state attended the festival at Wau Prominence Culture Theatre.

The State Governor Rizik Zackaria Hassan who also attended the conclusion was pleased to see the joy and happiness of all communities perform their traditional dances at Wau freedom square.

“I appeal to you all to concentrate and have collaboration in every single work that leads to development of the WBG state,” he said.
At the launch last week, Governor Rizik said the new nation cannot be built on tribalism but all South Sudanese with their different cultures should focus on peace building in the Country to challenge the current situation.

“We have to impose our culture through protecting them against Western Culture as our natural identity,” he told the crowd at Wau stadium.

Meanwhile the UNMISS state coordinator Winnie Babihuga who also attended the closing ceremony of the festival said it has really reflected that people of Wau were embarking on peace and harmony.

“Communities and state government should continue to stand with one another to develop the state that is based on peace and stability,” she said.
Babihuga urged the people of the Republic of South Sudan to adopt the step to peace that Western Bah el Ghazal state has taken.
