The Minister Otuduha who sounded the warning during a staff meeting held at the ministry’s headquarters tasked the Directors including the beneficiaries of operational funds to start tightening their belts so to ensure utilization of the monthly service funds meant for the daily operation of the institution be managed properly to meet the Ministry’s objective.
He prefers his Ministry’s officials to appropriately utilize the little money available to allow operations of the Ministry run smoothly saying it is better to economize than never.
According to him, the monthly operation funds in Ministry’s accounts should be preserved to cater for emergencies.
The meeting further resolved to speed up installation of voice of Eastern Equatoria state relay station in Kapoeta and immediate launching of the government website.
The Staff also agreed on regular conduct of meetings with the key figures in ministry among others.
He further probed into the 5,000 South Sudanese Pounds (SSP) operation funds allegedly stolen from the ministry in February 2013.
