According to Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik terrorist outfits Al-Qaeda and Tehrik-i-Taliban had made a plan to kidnap Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

He made these revelations during his visit to the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) headquarters. He claimed that he received this information 15 days ago.

He said the TTP and Al Qaeda were posing threats to VIPs, but the officials took the mandatory steps needed to counter the plan made by the terrorist outfits.

He also told the media that Shahbaz Taseer son of former Governor Salman Taseer who was kidnapped in August from Lahore is still alive and the kidnappers have allegedly detained him in an area near the afghan border.

He said “As per intelligence information, the kidnappers have kept the son of Salman Taseer in an area adjoining the Pak-Afghan border, but I want to tell the terrorists that their coward action cannot weaken the government’s commitment against extremism and terrorism,”

The press also questioned him about claims made by Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza if he had any involvement with Black Water, to which he denied the accusations and called them baseless.

Prior to that the Interior Minister was speaking at a ceremony held for the signing of an agreement between Nadra and Pakistan Hockey Federation, the minister said a arrangement for peace through sports was being followed to bring about positive changes in the attitude and ideas of the youth for fighting the nuisance of terrorism and extremism.
