India has announced that it is all prepared to test-fire their first Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) named Agni-V on Wednesday.

The latest proposed missile test by India can reach up to a range of 5,000 kilometers and is expected to go off for a test fire near the coast of Odhisha. The timings of the test fire have not been announced due to security purposes. However, the Ministry of Defence officials have confirmed that the preparations for missile test release are in their final stages.

The chief of DRDO V K Saraswat said that Agni-V was integrated in different facilities for the test launch. Members of the team behind the making of the missile, higher military officials, and other relevant agencies will be present at the time the missile is launched. The chief also announced that they plan to launch other similar missiles within the next year after studying the dynamics and operations of the one about to be launched and will create subsequent parameters accordingly.

India is taking such a huge technological step after a long time. India and Pakistan have had a long history of making test-fire following each other in an attempt to show off their defence equipment in case either one of the countries were planning something mischievous against the other.
