The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has revealed its preliminary analysis of serial blasts in Bihar and stated suspicion that the tragic incident might mark the birth of new terror module working against the interests of India. Reportedly, the three unexploded IEDs recovered from the blast scenes do not match with any of the IEDs previously recovered from other blast scenes in India.

Furthermore, the suspects detained in alleged connection with the terrorist attack were set free after thorough investigation on Thursday. The NIA officials did not find solid evidence against the four suspects.

“The four have been released after no evidence of their connection with the explosions was found during their questioning,” senior superintendent of police Manu Maharaj said.

According to Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, preliminary reports indicate that the explosives were planted during nighttime. Earlier, he showed suspicion that the task could have been carried out by either of the suspects kept under the custody of NIA officials. Shinde visited the blast sites along with Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

“We are conducting complete investigations. Three-four people may be involved… with a car,” he said. “There are so many complex problems. Infiltration from other countries is there, Naxalites are there, local communal disturbances are there. We have to see all angles.”

Shinde also complained about the ineffectiveness of Bihar government, which was informed and warned by the federal security agencies. He said the Bihar police completely failed to protect its citizens despite multiple warnings been issued from senior security personnel.
