British managing director of Sky’s advertising sales division, Sky Media and his daughter were declared to be named among the victims in Cornwall speedboat tragedy.

Nick Milligan, 51, was confirmed to be a victim of the tragedy that happened when the boat his family was riding in the Camel Estuary near Padstow, Cornwall, flipped over, throwing them into the water.

The other victim of the crash is understood to be the youngest of his three daughters, Emily, 8.

Four other family members including Mr. Milligan’s wife Victoria, 39, their other two daughters, Olivia, 10 and Amber, 12 and their four-year-old son Kit thought to have been hit by the boat, are being treated in hospital after they were airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. The injured members are thought assumed to be hit by the boat while it was circling in the water.

The Wandsworth family were on holiday in the coastal town of Padstow when the tragedy occurs and they were thrown from the boat as it went “out of control” before striking them.

According to the emergency services representatives, the further injuries may have been prevented by after local boatmen and managed to cut the power on the boat before it careered into anyone else.

One of the men who intervened told to be an instructor at Camel Ski School, known locally as Charlie Toogood.

A second man named as Will Jones also came to their rescue.

Mr. Milligan had been working as the managing director since 2004 and was previously a founding director at Channel 5.

A BSkyB spokesperson has stated: “Everyone at Sky is deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the tragic accident involving the Milligan family.

“Nick has been a great friend and colleague for many years and his loss will be felt across our company and the industry. Our very deepest sympathies are with his family at this time.”
