Over 150 stolen IDs were recovered in two separate events in Edmonton earlier this year. One of the cases concluded last week and the other is still under investigation.

Last month, officers on routine patrol entered an apartment in the area of 149 Street and 93 Ave and found numerous ID and financial cards along with other fraud related equipment. The suspect was arrested without incident.

The suspect allegedly was in the possession of documents pertaining to about 140 individuals.

Leonard John MacDonnell, 44 is charged with possession of stolen property under $5000, forgery of a document, possess identity intended for use to commit forgery, possess identity document belonging to another, possess identity information, breach of recognizance. Additional charges are pending.

Police concluded a case last week, laying a total of 180 charges against three accused. In late January, police received a complaint of the usage of $100 counterfeit bills in the Kingsway area. After obtaining a search warrant for a local hotel room, numerous counterfeit making equipment, money, IDs and documents that had personal credit information of unrelated individuals were seized.

Denise Fehr, 41 is charged with 64 fraud related charges including obtain/possess identity information.

Richard Lauderdale, 38 and Deleen Howe, 28 are each charged with 58 fraud related charges.
