15-year-old James Hubley committed suicide Friday after failing to struggle with depression. His father is city councillor of Kanata South, Allan Hubley.

The family has not officially stated the reason of Hubley’s suicide but an outpour of condolences has surfaced the web.

Reports say that Hubley was been bullied for years. He was teased and called a “fag.” On his blog, the teen wrote that life is too hard and he couldn’t wait three more years for it perhaps to get better. His suicide notes says how hard it was to be the only gay student in his school. The teen also referred to a famous TV show “Glee” to make his point.

Hubley loved to keep his YouTube channel updated. He has a dozen videos he created on it. The recent one included his performance of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” While his Tumblr blog was filled with posts about cutting, and images with quotes about depression and suicide.

Within a year, Hubley family is the second major family in Ottawa to lose a teenager to suicide. In November 2010, 14-year-old Daron Richardson committed suicide in Canada. She is the daughter of local NHL personality Luke Richardson.
