Carol Todd, the mother of B.C. cyber-bullying victim who committed suicide last month, claimed that she is totally unaware of why she wasn’t invited to an anti-bullying forum allegedly held in direct response to her daughter’s suicide.

Carol Todd stated that she was not invited to the Premier Christy Clark’s forum. Mrs. Todd asserted that she asked the organizer if she could attend the event, but she was replied “no.” Carol was speaking to a news agency on Wednesday, when she disclosed that “I’ve received so many emails and messages from all around the world from parents and teachers and kids about their stories, where they’re the victims or they’re the bullies.”

Amanda Todd, fifteen-year-old victim of cyber bullying, committed suicide in October after she posted a YouTube video documenting the reason behind her suicide, which was being sexually exploited on the internet and then bullied. When inquired, the organizers of the Vancouver anti-bullying forum held this week, stated that it was a mutual decision for Todd’s mother to not attend the event, however Mrs. claims otherwise. She in fact declared that that “I really, really wanted to be there. I didn’t want to be a speaker at it. I just wanted to sit back and listen and watch.”

Carol Todd used Twitter for expressing her rage while the forum was being held. She tweeted that “Amanda Todd’s mom excluded from anti-bullying forum,” “It is a shame that I was excluded from the forum. Is that a form of bullying?” “I am very upset at this.”
