An official confirmation of Air Canada has declared that it is not affected at all, by a recent abrupt grounding of all Boeing Co.’s 787s on Wednesday, as they suddenly discovered another astounding technical problem. Official orders of U.S. Federal Aviation Administration executed a complete halt-fly order as it encountered a serious incident, when an All Nippon Airways 787 aircraft had to make an emergency landing in Takamatsu, western Japan, because the pilots detected a burning smell.

During the flight, cockpit indicators displayed a problems with aircraft’s newly changed batteries type, which were made of lithium-ion. The passengers of the particular flight had to deploy chutes after landing, though there was no report of any serious injuries. Later on Wednesday, two of Japan’s biggest airlines companies, Japan Airlines Co. and ANA, along with United Airlines announced a declaration of landing and postponing all its flights scheduled flights of 787 aircrafts. Whereas, FAA forwarded an executive order in the evening to ground all aircrafts under its jurisdiction due a pending safety check on the lithium-ion batteries. The aircraft is currently operated by no other country except the United States.

Air Canada is awaiting delivery of its 37 so-called B787 Dreamliners ordered previously, though it is not scheduled to make a delivery before April 2014. Analysts predict that this is enough time for the manufacturers to fix recently arisen issues in the aircraft. The spokesperson of Air Canada, Peter Fitzpatrick, confirmed via an email that “we are aware of the reports about the 787, but we are declining to comment as our deliveries do not begin (until) 2014.”
