Local police has revealed details into the death of a Toronto couple who was killed in Florida last month, asserting that they were asphyxiated, while also revealing that it believes the culprits were not likely known to the victims. The details into the incident were announced by the Police in Hallandale Beach on Wednesday morning as they made an open public appeal for seeking help to resolve the double murder of retired snowbirds David Pichosky and Rochelle Wise.
The police chief of Hallandale Beach, Dwayne Flournoy, stated during a press conference that he is unaware of any motive behind the “senseless” crime. He alleged that investigators have “scientific evidence” illustrating that multiple perpetrators were involved. He revealed that the couple was asphyxiated to death. 71-years-old Mr. Pichosky and 66-years-old Ms. Wise were both famous and active in their community, though they did not have any know enemies. The couple was found dead on Jan. 10 at their home in Venetian Park, i.e. a neighborhood favored by retirees, in Hallandale Beach, north of Miami.
Mr. Flournoy stated that police is still in process of identifying a suspected women who visited the couple’s house on the day before their bodies were found. The security camera of their neighbor recorded a fat woman entering the house, carrying an unidentified item, and then leaving empty-handed from the back door. Police was initially investigating Mr. Pichosky’s alleged trip to the local casino, though later investigators found out that he was only there to buy ice cream for his grandchildren.
