Police has once again rearrested one of Canada’s most notorious child molesters, in accordance to new sex-related charges that are pending on the suspect. Gordon Stuckless has previously spent jail time for offences committed at the time when he worked at Maple Leaf Gardens. He is now scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall on Friday morning to defend a new batch of charges laid in February.
Stuckless was recently taken in custody from home and brought to the downtown 52 Division police station, after which his court date has been postponed. He was previously convicted with charges of multiple sex assaults on boys in 1997, when he worked as an assistant equipment manager at Toronto’s Maple Leaf Gardens from 1969 to 1988. 64-years-old Mr Stuckless has now been recently charged in February with six more counts of indecent assault on a male, assault and possession of a weapon or imitation weapon. These new charges are also related to alleged assaults on young boys during the 1970s.
Toronto police revealed that two adult men have stepped forward to claim that Mr. Stuckless allegedly sexually assaulted them several times, when they were aged 11 and 13. Mr. Stuckless was volunteering at a Toronto community centre and sports clubs at the time of his arrest. A police source revealed that the recent charges, to be laid Friday, have also arisen from offences allegedly committed years ago. Details are to be announced later in the day.
