It is reported that The U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry  said the Iranians backed out at the last moment during the process of  signing the agreement on Irans nuclear program. The talks in Geneva include five world powers which are the permanent UN Security Council members including U.S., U.K., France, Russia and China plus Germany. Answering questions from the reporters in Abu Dhabi, the Secretary of State said that the deal on nuclear programs did not fall apart because of differences in opinion amongst the six powers of the world but because ‘Iran couldn’t take it’.

‘The French signed off on it, we signed off on it,’  said the U.S. Secretary of State, ‘There was unity but Iran couldn’t take it,’

The world powers and Iran have been trying to agree on a deal since 2003 but so far all talks have been in vain. All the involved parties were unable to agree over any particular settlement and the deal remained undecided as Irans nuclear program expanded. After 2006, the Security Council  started imposing sanctions on people and entities supporting Iran in its nuclear activities. To top it all, U.S. and European Union imposed additional sanctions on all oil exports from Iran and banks which lead to a crash of the Iranian economy. John Kerry is optimistic about the nuclear deal and assures there is a ‘significant progress’ being made. The negotiations are said to continue on the 20th of November.
