Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto and majority areas of Southern Ontario, highlighting the chance of “heavy downpours, frequent lightning and gusty winds,” in the late afternoon and early evening. Furthermore, Environment Canada explained that the temperature will rise from 19C up to a high of 29C by 5 p.m. as a warm and humid air mass passes over Southern Ontario. Thereafter, showers are anticipated between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. On the other hand, a severe thunderstorm watch has been issued in the Grey Bruce region in northern part of Southern Ontario, and is likely will be extended to Windsor and London by noon.
