The three suspects sought by the Interpol and Quebec police after escaping from a jail by helicopter were brought in court again to be charged with new offences on Monday, i.e. a day after their capture. The three suspects, namely Serge Pomerleau, Denis Lefebvre and Yves Denis, kept smiling during their 60-minute-long hearing to which they appeared shackled hand and foot. In addition to that, Pomerleau also winked at the Crown prosecutor during the proceedings at Quebec City courtroom.

All three suspects have been charged of evasion and prison break conditions in addition to their existing murder and drug dealing counts for which they’re currently on trial. One of the suspects, Pomerleau, was known to have owned an airplane and a helicopter at the time of his previous arrest in a massive drug bust in 2010. The three suspects were arrested by the provincial police on Sunday morning in a condominium in Montreal. It had been 15 days since the escapees were airlifted out of Orsainville Detention Centre near Quebec City.

Meanwhile, provincial police is still looking for an alleged accomplice of the three, Simon Bedard, who is known to be their biker associate. The condo from where the three were arrested was leased to Bedard. Whereas, a Toyota Echo parked near the building also belonged to Bedard. Previously, Bedard is known to police for his involvement in the bloody war between the Bandidos and the Hells Angels in which 150 people were killed in the ’90s and early 2000s.
