We’ve been eagerly anticipating the release of the brilliant Nancy Meyers‘The Intern starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway (Sept 25.) Thetrailer, above, indicates that the movie is smart and funny – with DeNiro at his comic best. He’d barely finished that project when De Niro started filming the Bernie Madoff story called The Wizard of Lies” for HBO.Michelle Pfeiffer plays his wife Ruth and judging by the first on-set photo released, it looks quite fascinating. It’s gratifying that DeNiro is 72 and still working nonstop. If only women could have such long acting careers…
