Lock your KTM’s kids, they’re out to get them! Or at least in Austria they are where things are starting to take epidemic proportions. In fact, they’re peed off in such extent that even the official KTM internet headquarters are warning people to take special care of their oranges.
There’s an old saying in the world of auto racing that says – If you want to win, get yourself a Porsche. The same thing goes for enduro motorcycles too, except you don’t take Porsches, you take KTMs. It seems that motorcycle thieves know their sayings because in Austria, during the last couple of weeks, six KTM EXCs were reported stolen at just two endure race events. They include a brand new 2013 model KTM 250 EXC Sixdays, and 2012 model KTM 300 EXC stolen on July 7th at Allout X Challenge in Bleiburg and four, yes FOUR, EXCs on June 24th at Enduro Trophy in Rachau.
The force tells us that eBay is going to experience a flood of used KTM racing parts any time soon. Yuck!
