Police searching for California’s Sierra LaMar, 15, said Monday they are trying to find a vehicle that might have a connection with the her abduction. The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office released a photo of a 1990s red Volkswagen Jetta.

Sierra LaMar is been missing for almost two months now. Allegedly, the teen was abducted on March 16 while walking to a bus stop near her home in Morgan Hill, Calif. According to Sheriff's Sgt. Jose Cardoza, the supposedly linked vehicle has a black hood. The car was present at the time and place where LaMar was last seen.

"It's more than a coincidence," said Cardoza.

Apparently, the details about the car were gathered with the help of witnesses and surveillance videos. In the meantime, crime lab technicians are looking for possible evidence found during searches for Sierra.

According to Cardoza, police found a handcuff box and used condoms near the girl’s residence but they are not yet linked with the case. These things were found on March 29 and police has doubts if they have anything to do with the teen’s abduction near Palm and Doughterty avenues in unincorporated Morgan Hill.

Earlier, LaMar’s Samsung cellphone and Juicy-brand handbag were found from different places on Santa Teresa Boulevard. Investigators seem confident that other forensic work will give way to more leads in the case.
