After a complaint was received from a citizen regarding illegal activity under the Copyright Act, the Sherbrooke Detachment RCMP Federal Investigation Section launched an investigation into the matter, resulting with charges being laid against a Sherbrooke area resident. Suzanne Brûlotte, 66, is scheduled to appear today at the Sherbrooke Court House to face four counts of indictment under section 42 of the Copyright Act.

The RCMP investigators examined certain works published by Ms. Brûlotte, who allegedly used images and texts without the authorization of the copyright holders, contrary to the Copyright Act.
