On Thursday, April 28, 2011, members of the Gun and Gang Task Force, with the assistance of the Emergency Task Force, executed a search warrant at 61 Grenoble Drive.

It is alleged that:

– police located a loaded .40 calibre Glock semi-automatic firearm and a quantity of cocaine and marijuana.

Kerwin Gookool, 29, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Conditional Sentence Order Breach,
2) Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition,
3) Unauthorized possession of a firearm,
4) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized,
5) Careless storage of a firearm,
6) Careless Storage Ammunition,
7) Possession of firearm obtained by the commission of an offence,
8) Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device,
9) Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order,
10) Possession for the Purpose Marijuana,
11) Possession for the Purpose Cocaine,
12) Possession of Proceeds of Crime.

Joseph Maragh, 25, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition,
2) Unauthorized possession of a firearm,
3) Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized,
4) Careless storage of a firearm,
5) Careless Storage Ammunition,
6) Possession of firearm obtained by the commission of an offence,
7) Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device,
8) Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order,
9) Possession for the Purpose Marijuana,
10) Possession for the Purpose Cocaine.

They were scheduled to appear in court at Old City Hall, on Thursday, April 28, 2011, room 101, at 10 a.m.
