The Calgary-based investment mogul and CEO of Venture Communications, Arlene Dickinson, mentioned in a statement posted online on Saturday that she doesn’t have any political ambitions right now but it’s not completely out of picture. In Dickinson’s words, “never say never” but “it is not in my foreseeable future. Who knows what I’m going to think five years from now, but for the next five years it’s a no.”

According to Dickinson, she is non-partisan and only supports great policy. She has been open about view of O’Leary’s recent debut as a Conservative Party leadership candidate. The two starred alongside each other for almost a decade, until O’Leary and Dickinson quit the show in 2014 and 2015, respectively. In her remarks, Dickenson alleged that she is worried that profit-driven businesspeople like new U.S. President Donald Trump and O’Leary will endanger the people who need help most. She confessed that businesspeople in government is a “good thing,” but she clearly stated that O’Leary isn’t the right man for the job.

Dickinson explained that “I think Kevin is opportunistic and has this notion that greed is good. It’s not just that he was that person (on TV), this is who I believe him to be,” adding that “these characteristics, as a future leader of our country, don’t bode well for Canadians.” She mentioned that “when it becomes all about business you lose the opportunity to speak about the social fabric of our country,” adding that “you have to demonstrate leadership that shows that no one in Canada gets left behind.”
