Peel Regional Police, working alongside the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Toronto Police Service (TPS), Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) and the Canadian Forces (CF) have formed the Integrated Security Unit (ISU), for this year’s G8 and G20 Summits.

The G8 Summit will be held at the Deerhurst Resort, in Huntsville, on June 25 and June 26, 2010. The G20 Summit will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, in Toronto, on June 26 and 27, 2010.

Peel Regional Police will have a significant role to play in ensuring the safety and security of dignitaries; business owners; residents; and people who work and visit the airport area of Mississauga.

Although Lester B. Pearson International Airport will continue regular operations, anyone who uses the airport on a regular basis should be prepared for delays. These delays will be as a direct result of motorcade travel and necessary vehicle screening.

Due to the nature of the event, Peel Police are urging anyone who encounters suspicious circumstances, persons, or vehicles, to contact 1-888-310-1122 and report it. If it’s an emergency, please call 9-1-1.
