On Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 4:40 a.m., police responded to a call for a stabbing in the Dufferin Street/Hallam Street area.

It is reported that:

– a man requested the victim, a cab driver, to drive him to the Dufferin Street/Dupont Street area,

– prior to reaching the destination, the man stabbed the cab driver several times,

– the man fled the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as white, 6′, thin build with a beard and no moustache.
