16 yr old Toronto boy stabbed to death, suspect on the run

On Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 11:04 p.m., police received a call for a person with a knife near the park area of Hillcrest Junior Public School, 44 Hilton Avenue.

It is reported that:

– police located a male with trauma to the body,

– he was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

The victim has been identified as Justice Ferrigno, 16, of Toronto.

It is further reported that:

– the victim got in an altercation with a male near the park area of Hillcrest Junior Public School,

– the altercation continued into the street,

– the victim was stabbed,

– the suspect was last seen fleeing the area, on foot, in a westerly direction.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled for Monday, June 14, 2010.

The suspect is described as white, 5’9"-6′, slim build, with dark hair and glasses. He appears to be under 18. He was wearing a khaki-green, army-style jacket, and carrying a black bag.
