On Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at 2:34 a.m., police responded to a call for a person with a knife at an apartment building on Dixon Road.
Officers attended and located a woman suffering from obvious signs of trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shortly after, police received a call for a pedestrian struck on Hwy. 401, near Martin Grove Road.
On Friday, July 2, 2010, Joey Shepherd, 26, of Mississauga, was arrested and charged with:
1) First Degree Murder,
2) Aggravated Assault,
3) Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
