On Friday, July 16, 2010, at 4:45 p.m., police responded to a call for a personal injury collision on Jane Street/Dundas Street West.

It is reported that:

– a 79-year-old woman was driving her Hyundai Elantra southbound on Jane Street,

– she attempted to make a left turn to proceed eastbound on Dundas Street West and was stuck by a TTC bus, which was travelling northbound on Jane Street in the curb lane,

– as a result of the impact, the Hyundai Elantra spun around and struck another vehicle, which had been stopped directly behind the Hyundai Elantra waiting to turn.

It is further reported that:

-the rear passenger in the Hyundai Elantra , who was not wearing a seatbelt, succumbed to her injuries.

The driver and the front seat passenger were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
