Edmonton Police Service officers are investigating human remains located near Ellerslie Road and 17 Street SW after being notified by a person walking through the area Monday night.

The investigation is currently being led by Homicide Section, as per protocol when remains are found.

The circumstances surrounding the death are still under investigation.
