35 year old Hamilton man charged with possession of child pornography

The Hamilton Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (I.C.E.) Unit has arrested and charged a Hamilton man with child pornography related offences.

As the result of information received from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre, the Hamilton Police Service I.C.E. Unit conducted an investigation.

On Wednesday, September 29th, 2010, the Hamilton Police Service I.C.E Unit executed a search warrant at a West Mountain home in Hamilton. Computers were seized from the home and as a result of a preliminary investigation a 35-year old resident of the home was arrested. His name is not being released for the protection of the children also residing in the home. The investigation is ongoing.

The charged man will appear in court for a bail hearing on Thursday, September 30th, 2010.
