York Regional Police have charged a 52-year-old Vaughan man in connection with historical sexual offences committed over several years against a female who was eight years old when the offences began.

On September 13, 2014, police began an investigation after the victim came forward to report historical sexual assaults dating back to 2006. The victim took private piano lessons at the accused’s home in the City of Vaughan.

The accused has been teaching piano lessons in his home for 15 years. Investigators believe that there may be more victims.

– Raman Aizenshtat, 52, City of Vaughan

Charges:

– Sexual Assault x2

– Sexual Interference x2

York Regional Police encourages victims to report incidents of sexual assault including historical offences. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence.
