A 34-year-old Oak Haven man has been charged with second degree murder in the death of a 53-year-old Oak Haven woman.

Matthew Linus Tucker appeared in St. Stephen Provincial Court on November 21, 2014 on the charge.  He is accused of killing his mother, Dorothy Tucker.

Dorothy Tucker was reported missing on November 10 from her home in Oak Haven. An extensive search was conducted in an attempt to locate her. On the afternoon of November 20, two hunters called police to say they had discovered a body in St. David Ridge, northwest of Oak Haven.  The body has been identified as that of Dorothy Tucker.  The investigation is continuing.

Matthew Tucker remains in custody pending his next court appearance on December 17, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.
