Four people charged for marihuana grow operation in London

On Thursday December 2, 2010 at 6:05 AM, members of the RCMP and the London Police Service Guns and Drugs Section stopped two vehicles, a minivan and a U-HAUL truck, that were suspected in operating a Marihuana grow operation at an address on Mountainview Crescent in London. The four parties, in the two vehicles, were arrested for theft of hydro. A search warrant was executed on the U-Haul and the address on Mountainview Crescent. Police seized 727 marihuana plants ($727,000) as well as equipment used for this operation and a quantity of cash. Also stolen was $3750 worth of power.

Police have charged:

– Dung Van Nguyen, a 40 year old male from Bracebridge with theft under $5000 and unlawfully producing a schedule II substance (marihuana) and possession of a schedule II drug for trafficking.

-Van Hung Nguyen, a 38 year old male from Etobicoke with theft under $5000 and unlawfully producing a schedule II substance (marihuana) and possession of a schedule II drug for trafficking.

-Pho Van Nguyen, a 45 year old male from North York with theft under $5000 and unlawfully producing a schedule II substance (marihuana) and possession of a schedule II drug for trafficking.

-Hein Bich Mai, a 29 year old female from Etobicoke with theft under $5000 and unlawfully producing a schedule II substance (marihuana) and possession of a schedule II drug for trafficking.
