Joel Yarascavitch charged with sexual assault in Toronto

On Saturday, January 1, 2011, police issued a news release for a man wanted in a sexual assault investigation.

− on Saturday, January 1, 2011, in the early−morning hours, a woman left the St Clair subway station, using the Heath Street exit,
− as she walked towards Spadina Road, she was approached from behind by a man,
− the man grabbed the woman, sexually assaulted her, pushed her to the ground and fled the area.

The suspect is described as white, 5’9"−5’11", heavy build with short, dirty blonde hair and a red beard. He was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and a blue novelty hat with
“Happy New Year” on the front. 

On Saturday, January 8, 2011, Joel Yarascavitch, 28, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:

– two counts of Sexual Assault.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Sunday, January, 9, 2011, at Old City Hall, courtroom 101, 10 a.m.
