Theatre Asylum (Hollywood, CA)
This new play was a sold-out hit at the 2012 Hollywood Fringe Festival and now makes its formal premiere at Theatre Asylum. Robert Litz’s Cycles pits Jake (Alan Rosenberg) and Buzz (Dominic Rains) against each other in a battle for dominance and survival in a Boston Fitness Club. Jake is an older Jewish man who hates working out and Buzz is an intense, young fitness fanatic. The two talented actors portray a classic confrontation between young and old, building tension as they discover that dramatic events link their lives together. The play was named “Best of Fringe at the Asylum.”
