An imaginative mix of contemporary satire, physical comedy, original music and Old World storytelling, Drempels: The Short but Happy Life of the Dremple Hieronymus Aloisius Plonk follows the adventures of a miniature human who sets out to save the world, starting with his own small community. This world-premiere musical by Chris DeCarlo and Evelyn Rudie creates an enchanting world around a society of tiny people who live in the cracks of the earth and are charged with taking care of it, while outside forces threaten to destroy it all. Seven performers from Actors’ Repertory Theatre create dozens of characters and creatures in this allegorical romp from the folks at the Santa Monica Playhouse.
