This came during a meeting last week aimed at updating the ministry staff on his recent visit to Juba and the new plans for the New Year 2014.

The Acting Director General Mr. Peter Saniki Udo said the ministry staff’s reporting and attendance to work has improved lately.  Saniki noticed that they have worked on job description of each Directorate in the ministry and they have submitted it to the committee concerned.

The Director of Tourism and Hotel management Mr. Victor James Ndukpo appreciated the minister for the idea of punishing duty absentees and misconduct which he said will improve work in the ministry this year.

He cited lack of enough computers in their offices as a challenge, saying they were planning to collect revenue from the hotels in the state but they have suspended it due to other difficulties.

Hon. Kisanga disclosed that he attended the Equatoria Conference in Juba in which one of the resolutions was to involve Equatorians in the ongoing peace talks between the Government and Anti Government representatives in the Ethiopian Capital, Addis Ababa.

He also said he raised a memo to the state council of ministers for them open their own website where news of the state can be posted immediately.

He also noted that the Hon. Ministers of the state will be joining the current ongoing military training on ground for at least two hours daily to get some military skills.
